Urban areas are areas that are surrounded by a city. Most people that live in urban areas have nonagricultural jobs. I chose urban areas because they are very developed, which means that human structures are dense such as houses, roads, commercial buildings, railways, bridges, and health facilities.
Urban areas are better for society because there are job opportunities in the towns and cities, improved public transport, easy access to jobs and amenities, easy access to healthcare since hospitals and clinics are close and mix of cultures hence helps in making friends and meeting new people.
Due to the demand of people to better their living standards, in the next 20 years, 68% of the world’s population is projected to live in urban areas. This is because right now, more than half of the world’s population is living in urban areas. What motivates people to move to urban areas are the pull factors that attract them to urban life and the push factors that make them disgruntled with rural life.
