Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata has dared those claiming they have numbers to impeach Deputy President William Ruto to table such a motion warning of dire consequences.
As recorded by the standard, the Murang’a Senator, has informed that on matters Deputy President William Ruto’s impeachment those plotting such a move should not think its a walk in the park.
Senator Kangata has alleged that, as the Tangatanga faction a group of legislators allied to the Deputy President, they have enough numbers to block such a move and that the plotters will be defeated.
“We shall defeat them,” Kang’ata said as quoted by the Standard.
However, Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, who is said to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s political advisor have warned those Tangatanga members claiming to have numbers and that they should respect the President since he controls the vast government.
Mutahi Ngunyi has weighed into the DP Ruto’s impeachment explaining that following the passage of the BBI bill in Parliament President Uhuru has just shown his deputy that he can marshal the numbers for impeachment.
“Nevertheless, the number could portend an even graver result. It could also be a dry run to an impeachment. Uhuru has just shown Ruto that he can marshal the numbers for impeachment,” Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi said.
