Kenyans celebrated their 14th day of February 2020 in different styles; majorly by showing love to their loved ones as a valentine gift.

Most of the Kenyans in Nairobi County turned up for blood donation at a number of blood donating centres, ready to save a life or two.

Earlier on, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, had pleaded with Kenyans to show some Love to their fellow citizens who are in the ICU beds and are lacking blood.

Kenyans took it as a good Initiative, since flowers for Valentine’s would perish easily unlike donated blood which would definitely save a life.

Godfrey Kwarula, head of Blood Donation Centre in Nairobi, was grateful for Kenyans who turned up for the blood donation activity. “This year our plan is to attain 2000 pints of blood in Nairobi and 9000 other pints of blood countrywide, although Covid 19 has majorly affected our activities but I believe there is hope for us to reach our target. ” he said.
