Former Majority Chief Whip and the Murang’a’s Senator Mr Irungu Kang’ata says that the isn’t a problem if Rails was to join the hustlers Camp.
The Murang’a’s Senator who was in an interview with Jeff Koinange on JK Live believes that a Ruto Raila coalition is better as long as Raila won’t demand to be the presidential candidate.
” If Raila were to support Ruto, I do not see a problem. In fact, the better…
So long as he (Raila) does not come to our side and say he wants to be our presidential candidate. That is the only time we can have a problem.”
Senator Kang’ata further explained that some of Jubilee’s worries are what will happen if Raila walks away from the handshake.
” Some people in Jubilee are fearful when they see a situation where Raila may want to get out of the Handshake…Politically one should have their own parliamentarians supporting their cause…The idea of getting support outside the party exposes them to blackmail.”
The possibility of Ruto and Raila working together in 2022 has been growing and gaining momentum in the last few weeks.
On Tuesday April 6, Ruto held a nine-hour meeting with Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
It is said that he later travelled to Nairobi and met Raila Odinga for another meeting that sources indicate lasted five hours.
